SmartCord 02‑X is a knitted retraction cord made from 100% cotton and impregnated with Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate (ACH) at approximately 1.2 ± 0.8 mg per inch. Designed for ultra-fine sulcus management, it provides atraumatic tissue displacement and effective hemostasis—without epinephrine or vasoconstrictors.

Indications

• Gingival retraction and sulcus drying prior to digital or conventional impressions

Instructions for Use

1. Clean the tooth/preparation and assess sulcus anatomy.
2. Measure necessary cord length using the printed SmartRuler™ and cut using the integrated zirconia EasyCut™ blade.
3. Pack the cord gently into the sulcus using an appropriate cord‑packing instrument.
4. Allow the cord to remain in place for approximately 1–2 minutes to achieve effective tissue displacement and hemostasis.
5. Remove the cord gently and rinse thoroughly before proceeding with impression or cementation.
