Overview

The ConvaTec SUR-FIT Standard Ostomy Wafer is a latex-free skin barrier for use with two-piece urostomy, colostomy, and ileostomy pouches. It features a double-locking coupling ring for a secure pouch connection and adheres firmly yet gently to dry or slightly moist skin. Supplied in a box of 5 wafers.

Use information

• Colostomy pouches are used when normal defecation is not possible, such as after partial removal of the large intestine due to tumors, congenital anomalies, obstruction, colonic inflammation, or conditions involving the anal canal.
• Ileostomy pouches are used for diseases or congenital anomalies affecting the terminal small intestine.
• Urostomy pouches are used when normal urination is not possible due to bladder-related problems such as chronic infections or bladder cancer, congenital bladder anomalies, or post-cystectomy.

Instructions for use

1. Ensure the skin is clean and dry before applying the wafer.
2. Select the wafer size appropriate to the stoma opening.
3. Remove the protective backing from the wafer.
4. Place the wafer on the skin and press gently for 30 seconds.
5. Wait 30 minutes before attaching the pouch.

Precautions

• Do not use if the wafer is damaged or contaminated.
• Do not use on inflamed or injured skin.
• If any signs of irritation or sensitivity occur, discontinue use and consult a physician.
