PermaFlo DC, Composite Luting/Restorative Resin Refill, A2

Clinical Overview
PermaFlo DC is a highly filled (≈70 wt %) dual‑cure composite resin engineered for permanent cementation of crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays, endodontic post cementation, and core buildup fabrication. Its low-viscosity, thixotropic consistency flows through small‑orifice tips for precise placement and self‑mixes in the double‑barrel syringe format.
Key Benefits
- Exceptional strength and wear resistance: Highly filled composite delivers durable, long‑lasting performance.
- Ultra-low film thickness (~9 µm): Ensures minimal interfacial gap and optimal seating precision.
- Chemically activated, light‑facilitated cure: Reliable polymerization in areas with limited light access; light‑curing accelerates handling and core build‑ups.
- Radiopaque formula: Easily identifiable on radiographs for follow‑up and quality verification.
- Low polymerization shrinkage: Reduces marginal stress and microleakage risk.
- Broad substrate compatibility: Works with porcelain, lithium disilicate, zirconia, PFM, metal alloys, and composite substrates.
Kit Contents
- 1 × 5 mL dual‑barrel PermaFlo DC syringe (shade A2)
- 20 × mixing tips
- 20 × intraoral delivery tips for precise application
Working & Setting Times
- Working time: Approx. 2 min 30 sec from start of mix until initial handling viscosity.
- Chemical set: Final cure in 5–8 min without light activation.
- Optional light cure: Accelerates provisional tack cure or core build-up stabilization.
Indications
- Permanent cementation of crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays including ceramic, zirconia, metal, and composite substrates
- Endodontic post cementation and core build-up procedures
- Compatible with both total‑etch and self‑etch adhesive systems (e.g. Peak™ Universal Bond) for predictable bond strength
Instructions for Use
- Prepare and bond the tooth/prosthesis per adhesive system instructions (e.g. Total‑etch or self‑etch).
- Attach mixing tip to double‑barrel syringe; dispense back and forth until homogeneous.
- Load prosthesis from internal depth outward to eliminate air entrapment.
- Seat restoration fully and tack cure if desired; excess cement may be removed with explorer or floss.
- If light access allows, cure for 10 sec to start polymerization; allow remainder to chemically set (~5–8 min).
- For post cementation/core build-up: dispense material into post space, seat post, tack cure, then build core incrementally, light‑curing in between as needed.
- Remove and discard mixing and delivery tips after use. Ensure full set before final restoration placement.
Summary
Ultradent PermaFlo DC (Shade A2, Ref. 5912) is a versatile dual‑cure composite luting and restorative resin combining high strength, minimal film thickness, and self‑mixing delivery for precision cementation, post cementation, and core build-up workflows.
