Tegaderm transparent waterproof dressing, 6 x 7 cm. Sterile film with secure, non-allergenic adhesion that creates a barrier to bacteria, viruses, and external contaminants. The transparency allows ongoing observation of wounds and catheter/IV sites without removing the dressing. Breathable design permits oxygen transmission and moisture vapor exchange. Waterproof to allow bathing while in place. Intended for covering and protecting catheter sites and wounds and for securing devices to the skin.
Laboratory testing shows the transparent film provides a viral barrier to viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
