Overview

Smith+Nephew Primapore is a non-woven adhesive wound dressing designed to cover and protect wounds. Water resistance

Primapore is not fully waterproof. It is breathable and moisture vapour permeable, and is not intended to provide complete water occlusion. For showering or full water protection, use a dedicated waterproof dressing.

Directions for use

1. Wash hands thoroughly before handling the wound.
2. Clean the wound and surrounding skin as appropriate.
3. Dry the surrounding skin well.
4. Open the pouch and remove the dressing.
5. Peel back the protective liners gradually.
6. Position the absorbent pad over the wound to fully cover the area.
7. Apply without stretching the dressing.
8. Gently press around the edges to secure.

Do not cut the dressing. Follow the product instructions and clinical guidance. Hand hygiene before and after wound care is recommended.

When to change

Change the dressing according to wound condition, exudate level, and clinical advice. Regular changes may be required; some medical sources recommend changing at least daily. Replace the dressing if it becomes soiled, wet, saturated with exudate, or if adhesion is compromised.
