Clinical Overview

Opallis Flow A1 is a radiopaque, light-curing micro-hybrid flowable composite in a 2 g syringe, formulated in VITA shade A1. With approximately 72 wt% inorganic fillers, it delivers adaptive flow and excellent cavity wall adaptation, ideal as a base or liner in minimally invasive restorations.

Key Benefits

  • High filler load (~72 wt%): Enhances mechanical strength and reduces polymerisation shrinkage.
  • Flowable consistency: Fills irregular cavity walls and microgrooves with precision.
  • Outstanding handling: Flows when applied yet stabilises on resting—minimal slumping.
  • Compatible with other composites: Can layer under sculptable restorative composites for versatile shading.

Kit Contents

  • 1 × 2 g syringe of Opallis Flow composite shade A1
  • 5 × applicator tips for controlled dispensing

Working & Setting Times

  • Handling: Flows easily under gentle pressure and stabilises immediately upon cessation.
  • Curing: Apply in ≤ 2 mm increments; light-cure each layer for ~40 seconds using LED curing light ≥ 450 mW/cm².

Indications

  • Use as base or liner in minimally invasive preparations (e.g. Class I restorations on low-load surfaces).
  • Pit & fissure sealants and tunnel-type cavity restorations.
  • Repairing enamel defects or bonding tooth fragments.
  • Non-carious cervical lesion restorations and cavity wall smoothing prior to composite layering.

Instructions for Use

  1. Perform tooth prophylaxis and shade selection with hydrated enamel.
  2. Apply rubber-dam isolation; prepare cavity and follow adhesive protocol according to your bonding system.
  3. Dispense Opallis Flow A1 directly into the cavity using applicator tip; layering should not exceed 2 mm thickness.
  4. Light-cure each increment for approximately 40 seconds using an LED curing light ≥ 450 mW/cm².
  5. Check occlusal contacts, then finish and polish with fine-grade disks and felt/polish pastes (e.g. Diamond Pro, Diamond Flex, Diamond Excel).

Summary

Opallis Flow Composite A1 is a clinician-oriented, flowable micro-hybrid composite offering high filler density, excellent flow and cavity adaptation, and seamless integration with conventional composite systems. Its low-slump consistency, robust mechanical performance, and precise shade matching (A1) support efficient, minimally invasive restorative workflows.

Manufacturer: FGM Dental Group. Regulatory: CE-certified, for professional dental use only. Shelf life: refer to product label for expiry. Contraindications: Not recommended for high-stress occlusal load-bearing restorations; intended for base, liner, and repair use only.
