Opalescence Endo Kit, Non-Vital Endo Bleaching System

Clinical Overview
Opalescence™ Endo is a 35% hydrogen peroxide gel specifically formulated for internal whitening of non‑vital, endodontically treated teeth using the “walking bleach” technique. Its high-viscosity, syringe-delivered formula allows precise placement into the pulp chamber and safe temporary sealing for a treatment duration of 1–5 days.
Key Benefits
- High-concentration peroxide: 35% hydrogen peroxide provides powerful internal whitening with minimal structural removal.
- Syringe delivery: Enables clean, accurate placement—avoids mess and variability inherent to self-mixed pastes.
- Viscous gel consistency: Allows effective coronal sealing with temporary cement and controlled internal bleaching.
- Standardized performance: Consistent concentration and predictable results, often within a single 1–5 day cycle.
- Minimally invasive: Conserves natural tooth structure—avoids full-coverage restorations for internal discoloration.
- Certified gluten‑free & kosher: Suitable for sensitive patient groups.
Kit Contents
- 2 × 1.2 mL syringes of Opalescence™ Endo 35% hydrogen peroxide gel (~1.45 g each)
- 20 × Black Mini™ tips for precise intra‑chamber delivery
Treatment Duration (Walking Bleach Protocol)
- Leave gel sealed in pulp chamber for between 1 and 5 days before evaluation.
- Results typically visible after a single application; repeat only if necessary.
Indications
- Internal bleaching of discolored, non‑vital teeth (e.g. trauma, necrotic pulp, endodontic staining)
- For use only when pulp chamber is sealed above the alveolar crest with a glass ionomer barrier to prevent peroxide leakage.
Instructions for Use
- Remove all root canal filling and restoration material from the pulp chamber and at least 2 mm below the CEJ.
- Place a 2 mm-thick layer of conventional or resin-modified glass ionomer at the level of the CEJ to seal the canal from bleaching gel.
- Attach Black Mini™ tip; dispense Opalescence Endo gel into pulp chamber ensuring complete coverage without overfill.
- Remove excess gel with wet cotton swab before the temporary cement sets. Seal access with a suitable temporary restoration.
- Advise patient return in 1–5 days for shade assessment and gel removal. Replace as needed until desired shade achieved.
- Once desired shade achieved, rinse chamber thoroughly, remove all gel, and restore permanently. Allow 7–10 days if following with adhesive restorations.
