Clinical Overview

Opallis EB2 is a radiopaque nano‑hybrid composite resin by FGM, formulated with Schott glass fillers (~0.5 µm) for superior mechanical strength and optical integration. Designed for direct anterior and posterior restorations in Vita shade EB2, it delivers excellent polishability, fluorescence/opalescence matching natural teeth, and clinician‑friendly viscosity for sculpting and layering.

Working & Setting Times

• Layering protocol: Use ≤ 1.5 mm increments to optimize polymerization and reduce stress.

Indications

• Direct restorations in anterior and posterior teeth (Class I–V)
• Composite veneers, fragment bonding, diastema closure, and core build-ups
• Repairs of stained or bleached restorations requiring shade EB2 match

Instructions for Use

1. Perform prophylaxis and shade selection with hydrated teeth.
2. Isolate operative field (e.g. rubber dam), etch enamel/dentin and apply adhesive per system protocol.
3. Dispense Opallis EB2 into preparation using dispensing tip; apply in ≤ 1.5 mm layers.
4. Sculpt anatomy with composite instrument; light‑cure each layer according to adhesive manufacturer’s time.
5. Once restoration is complete, verify occlusion, trim flash, and finish surface.
6. Polish using fine disks (e.g. Diamond Pro), felt pads (Diamond Flex), and polishing paste (e.g. Diamond Excel).
