3M™ Filtek™ Universal Restorative Capsules contain a light-cured universal nanocomposite restorative material designed for aesthetic and durable restorations in both anterior and posterior teeth. Its simplified shade system with universal opacity helps restorations blend naturally with surrounding dentition, while the capsule format enables precise, hygienic dispensing directly into cavity preparations.

Working & Setting Times

• Working time: Unlimited working time prior to light activation.
• Light cure: Approximately 10–20 seconds per increment depending on curing light intensity.
• Recommended increment thickness: Up to approximately 2 mm per layer for optimal polymerization.

Instructions for Use

1. Clean and isolate the tooth preparation.
2. Apply etching and bonding system according to adhesive manufacturer instructions.
3. Insert the capsule into a composite dispenser.
4. Dispense the composite directly into the cavity preparation.
5. Place the composite in increments and sculpt the desired anatomy.
6. Light cure each increment according to recommended curing time.
7. Finish and polish the restoration to achieve smooth margins and natural gloss.
