Dental veneers can make our smiles brighter and more beautiful. But how are they attached? Let's learn how to use Variolink Esthetic LC, a special type of dental glue, to attach a veneer made of IPS e.max.

Step 1: Cleaning the Tooth

First, we need to take off the temporary cap from the tooth. Then, we clean the tooth with a special brush and a fluoride-free cleaning paste. This helps to get rid of any leftover glue. After that, we rinse the tooth with water and dry it with air that doesn't have any water or oil in it.

Step 2: Trying the Veneer

Next, we use Variolink Esthetic try-in paste to check the color of the veneer. We put the veneer on the tooth to see if it fits right and looks good. After that, we rinse off the try-in paste with water and dry the tooth again.

Step 3: Preparing the Veneer

Now, we put a special liquid called Mono Bond Etching Prime bonding agent on the veneer. We rub it on for 20 seconds and then let it sit for 40 seconds. After that, we rinse it off with water and dry the veneer with a strong stream of air.

Step 4: Isolating the Tooth

When we're using this type of dental glue, we need to keep the tooth dry. We can use a rubber dam or cotton rolls and a saliva ejector to do this. Then, we clean the tooth again and dry it.

Step 5: Applying the Adhesive

Next, we put a gel called phosphoric acid gel on the tooth and let it sit for 15 to 30 seconds. We rinse it off and dry the tooth until it looks chalky white. Then, we put on a liquid called Adhese Universal and rub it in for 20 seconds. We get rid of any extra liquid and then use a special light to cure it for 10 seconds.

Step 6: Attaching the Veneer

Now, we're ready to attach the veneer. We put the Variolink Esthetic LC on the veneer and then put the veneer on the tooth. We hold it in place and use the special light to cure the excess glue. Then, we remove any extra glue with a tool called a scaler and dental floss.

Step 7: Finishing Up

Finally, we cover the edges of the veneer with a gel called glycerin gel or Air Block. We use the special light again to cure all the edges. Then, we rinse off the gel and finish up by polishing the veneer. We check to make sure the veneer feels right in the mouth and make any necessary adjustments. As a final step, we apply a thin layer of Flor-Protector S to protect the veneer.

And that's it! Now we know how to attach a dental veneer with Variolink Esthetic LC. It's a detailed process, but it helps to give us a beautiful smile.
