The Splendor SAP (Single Adjustable Post) by Angelus is an innovative fiber post system designed to adapt seamlessly to various root canal anatomies. Featuring a unique two-part design—a narrow, apically tapered fiber post and a conical sleeve made of the same fiber-reinforced composite—this system allows for customized adaptation to the canal's shape. The sleeve slides over the post during insertion, converting it into a custom-fitted post that enhances mechanical interlock and retention. This design minimizes the need for extensive inventory of different post sizes and reduces the removal of healthy tooth structure, promoting conservative preparation. With a flexural strength of 1,200 MPa and an elastic modulus similar to dentin, Splendor SAP offers high retention and a low risk of root fracture.
