Primma Art, Self-curing Composite for provisional teeth, A1

Clinical Overview
Primma Art is a self‑curing bis‑acrylic composite tailored for the fabrication of provisional restorations—crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays, veneers, and mock‑ups. Its balanced monomer formulation offers high fracture resistance, excellent shade fidelity to Vita A1, low exotherm suitable for vital teeth, and a viscosity that ensures precise mold reproduction with easy removal during the elastic phase.
Key Benefits
- High mechanical strength: Greater resistance to fracture and wear—even for long-term provisional use.
- Shade fidelity to Vita A1: Predictable esthetics and minimized shade mismatch.
- Low heat release: Enhances patient comfort and safe for use on vital teeth.
- Balanced rheology: Flows well into mold details and allows removal during the elastic phase (~2–3 min).
- Shade-stabilizing formulation: Minimizes inhibited layer and maintains color stability over time.
- Efficient mixing system: Self‑mixing tips ensure homogeneous mix and reduce waste by up to 40%.
Kit Contents
- 1 × 75 g dual-barrel automix cartridge in A1 shade
- 10 × self‑mixing automix tips
Working & Setting Times
- Working time: ~40 seconds from start of mix.
- Elastic‑phase removal: Approximately 2–3 minutes after mixing begins.
- Full polymerization: Around 5 minutes.
Times may vary slightly with temperature and cartridge age.
Indications
- Provisional restorations including crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays, veneers, and mock‑ups in shade A1
- Short‑ and long‑term temporary restorations on vital or non‑vital teeth
- Refilling of pre‑fabricated composite, polycarbonate, or metal temporaries
- Esthetic mock‑ups where accuracy and shade match are critical.
Instructions for Use
- Isolate preparation and lubricate mold or prep surface with Vaseline or glycerin.
- Attach a self‑mixing tip and express a small bead to ensure homogeneous mixing.
- Fill mold beginning at occlusal/incisal surface, then move to cervical area; keep tip immersed to avoid air entrapment.
- Seat mold over tooth within ~40 seconds and maintain pressure until set begins.
- Remove mold during elastic phase (~2–3 minutes post-mix).
- Allow full polymerization (~5 minutes), then clean with alcohol to remove inhibited layer.
- Finish provisional with fine/extra‑fine diamond burs, then polish using rubber disks or FGM Diamond/Flex felt disks and polishing paste.
- Cement provisional using a non‑eugenol temporary luting agent.
Summary
FGM Primma Art in shade A1 (Ref. 55213) delivers predictable esthetics, strong mechanical properties, low exotherm, and user-friendly handling. The A1 shade matches the Vita scale reliably and automation ensures consistent mixing and reduced waste. Ideal for both short‑ and long‑term provisional applications requiring precision and color stability.
