PermaSeal Kit, Penetrating Composite Sealer

Clinical Overview

PermaSeal™ is a light‑cured, methacrylate-based, unfilled resin designed to penetrate polished composite surfaces and seal microcracks, surface porosities, and margins. Its low-viscosity formula forms an ultrathin sealing layer—often eliminating the need for occlusal adjustment—making it ideal as a final glaze, margin sealer, or restoration refresher.

Working & Handling Guidelines

• Light-cured resin: Thin application layer cures rapidly with standard curing light.
• No mixing or heating: Ready-to-use syringe simplifies chairside workflow.
• No occlusal buildup: Ultrathin cured film minimizes need for post-treatment adjustment.

Indications

• Sealing marginal microcracks in Class V and other composite restorations
• Glaze coating for resin provisionals to enhance esthetics and seal surface porosities
• “Rebonding” of new or aged composite restorations to revitalize gloss, reduce leakage, and improve wear resistance
• As a final surface seal after composite polishing to reduce staining or surface roughness

Instructions for Use

1. Finish and polish composite restoration. Remove any occlusal marks and gently pumice or clean the surface.
2. Isolate the operative site. Etch composite or enamel margins briefly with phosphoric acid (~10 sec), then rinse and dry.
3. Apply a thin, even coat of PermaSeal™ over restoration surface and adjacent enamel using a Black Micro FX™ tip.
4. Air-thin gently for ~5 seconds to spread resin uniformly—layer should be imperceptible.
5. Light cure per resin instructions (e.g. 20–30 seconds). Typically no re-adjustment is needed.
6. For provisional composites, apply PermaSeal then cover with DeOx™ oxygen barrier before curing for a glass-like finish.
7. Dispose of tip after use to avoid contamination.
