Clinical Overview
Hydrocal™ is a two-part, radiopaque calcium hydroxide paste indicated for direct and indirect pulp capping as well as deep cavity lining. It self‑sets into a rigid barrier that’s compatible with resin and amalgam restorations while supporting pulp healing through its high‑pH antibacterial effect.

Working & Setting Times
- Working time: quick mix upon combination.

Indications
- Direct pulp capping in pulp exposure cases
- Indirect pulp capping in deep carious preparations
- Deep cavity liner under composite, amalgam, or glass ionomer
Instructions for Use
- Express equal lengths of base and catalyst onto a mixing pad.
- Blend thoroughly (≈10 s) to a uniform consistency.
- Place a thin layer over the pulp or dentin surface.
- Allow material to set (≈2–3 min); maintain isolation.
- Proceed with final restoration—compatible with resin/composite or amalgam.
