DuoDERM Hydrocolloid Wound Gel, 15 g

Hydrocolloid gel designed to maintain a moist wound environment, gently cleanse the wound, and soften and dissolve necrotic tissue without harming healthy tissue. It helps prevent formation of dry scabs and supports tissue renewal. Suitable for chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers and leg ulcers, as well as wounds resulting from burns or surgery. It also helps reduce wound-related pain and minimizes dressing adherence.

Uses

• Dry wounds: used as a filler in deep, dry wounds to provide a moist environment for healing.
• Management of pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers.
• Protection from infection: helps keep the wound clean and protects against bacterial infection.
• Promotes healing by creating a moist environment that supports normal tissue growth and wound remodeling.

Directions

• Cleanse the wound gently with normal saline to remove devitalized tissue.
• Apply approximately a 5 mm layer of gel directly into the wound.
• Cover with an appropriate hydrocolloid dressing to maintain moisture.
• Change the dressing every 2–3 days or according to wound condition.
