Clinical Overview

SPEE‑DEE™ Build‑Up is a dual-cure, fluoride-releasing core and restorative resin engineered to mimic dentin density and handling. Featuring Pulpdent’s moisture-tolerant, self-adhesive and self-etching Embrace® resin chemistry, it offers seamless integration with or without bonding agents and radiopacity for predictable outcomes.

• 1 × 50 mL dual-cartridge automix syringe (SBU50)

Working & Setting Times

• Self-cure time: ~3 min 10 s intraorally at 37 °C
• Light-cure: 20 s with ≥ 300 mW/cm² halogen or LED light; 4 mm depth of cure

Indications

• Post cementation and core build-up after root canal treatment
• Direct bonded core without a post for vital teeth
• Base or liner under large restorations
• Repair of broken cusps, fractured crowns/bridges, and lost fillings
• Temporary patching of defects and crown margin restoration

Instructions for Use

1. Prepare tooth: remove decay, prepare cavity or post space; optionally etch and apply bonding agent for maximum bond strength.
2. Seat a post if required, apply bonding agent, and light cure.
3. Remove syringe cap, bleed cartridge, attach mixing tip, and dispense 2–3 mm to waste.
4. Place material into preparation or around post; light cure 20 s, then allow self-cure (~3 min).
5. Contour and trim core—rotary instruments cut neatly like dentin, without chatter.
6. Finish restoration prep and proceed with impression or final restoration.
