SmartCord 03‑X is a knitted gingival retraction cord constructed from 100% cotton and impregnated with Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate (ACH) at approximately 1.2 ± 0.8 mg per inch of cord. It delivers gentle yet effective soft‑tissue displacement and hemostasis, without the need for epinephrine or vasoconstrictors.

Indications

• Gingival displacement and moisture control for crown, bridge, veneer, and Class II/V restorative preparations

Instructions for Use

1. Clean and assess gingival sulcus anatomy.
2. Use integrated EasyCut™ blade to cut required cord length guided by SmartRuler™ scale.
3. If desired, moisten cord with hemostatic agent (optional).
4. Gently pack cord into sulcus using cord‑packing instrument—avoid excessive pressure.
5. Allow ~1–2 minutes for tissue retraction and hemostasis.
6. Remove cord carefully and rinse thoroughly before impression or cementation.
