SmartCord 0 is a non‑impregnated, knitted gingival retraction cord made from 100% natural cotton. With its fine diameter (Size #0, purple/light-purple coded), it provides atraumatic tissue displacement and enhanced moisture control. Ideal for delicate sulcus management, it can be used alongside topical hemostatic agents such as RapidStat.

Indications

• Gingival retraction and sulcus drying prior to conventional or digital impression-taking
• Margin exposure in crown, bridge, veneer, and adhesive restorative procedures
• Recommended for moderately narrow sulcus or anterior zone tissue management
• Compatible with topical hemostatic agents to enhance bleeding control and tissue displacement

Instructions for Use

1. Clean area and assess gingival sulcus anatomy.
2. Cut required length using the integrated EasyCut™ blade, guided by SmartRuler™ markings.
3. If needed, moisten or saturate cord with topical hemostatic agent.
4. Gently pack the cord into the sulcus with a packing instrument—avoid pressure trauma.
5. Allow 1–2 minutes for effective tissue displacement and hemostasis.
6. Remove cord carefully and rinse site thoroughly before impression or cementation.
