Overview

Povidone-iodine 10% spray is a broad-spectrum antiseptic for skin, burns, and wounds. It is effective against bacteria, fungi, protozoa, spores, and viruses, and it rinses off easily from skin. It is used to prevent or manage localized infections associated with wounds, burns, and surgical procedures.

Indications

• General antisepsis of skin, burns, and wounds.
• Disinfection of intact or injured skin and mucous membranes.
• Disinfection of latex stoppers of infusion containers and drug vials (excluding vaccines), and latex injection sites on infusion containers.
