Pneumatic Walking Boot (Tall)
A pneumatic walking boot that provides controlled immobilization of the foot and ankle as a practical alternative to traditional casting. Adjustable air compression allows precise fit and helps manage swelling during rehabilitation and protected ambulation.
Model options and typical applications
- Tall (with toe guard): Provides support extending up the lower leg. Commonly used for distal tibia and fibula fractures, Achilles tendon rupture, and postoperative immobilization.
- Short (with toe guard): Suited for metatarsal injuries and mild to moderate ankle sprains, when stabilization of the foot and ankle is needed without immobilizing the entire lower leg.
Features
- Dual independent air cells for fine adjustment of pneumatic pressure around the ankle to reduce swelling and improve fit.
- Rigid outer shell for protection against impacts and external pressure.
- Adjustable toe guard with 3 selectable positions to shield the forefoot and toes.
- Curved rocker-bottom, slip-resistant outsole designed to promote a more natural gait and reduce effort during walking.
Indications
- Moderate to severe ankle sprains (grade II–III).
- Stable fractures of the foot or distal third of the lower leg.
- Rehabilitation after cast removal or after surgery.
- Ligament injuries requiring firm immobilization.
