OraSeal Caulking and Putty Material Kit

Clinical Overview
OraSeal™ is a syringe‑delivered, cellulose-based dual-consistency system offered in two grades—flowable “Caulking” and heavier-bodied “Putty”. Designed to adhere even to moist surfaces including rubber dam, teeth, gingiva, metal, and mucosa—even underwater or in saliva—making it ideal for sealing or block‑out in challenging isolation scenarios.
Key Benefits
- Adheres reliably to wet surfaces: Effective seal even in saliva/moisture—critical in compromised isolation.
- Dual consistency: Caulking is flowable for sealing; Putty offers bulk block‑out to prevent material lock‑in at undercuts.
- Protects soft tissue: Blocks exposure to bleaching peroxides or hydrofluoric acid during porcelain etching procedures.
- Precision block‑out: Ideal for filling embrasures, implant bars, precision attachments and screw-access holes on impressions.
- Certified gluten‑free: Safe for all GLS patients without added inhibitors or resins.
Kit Contents
- 2 × 1.2 ml OraSeal Caulking syringes
- 2 × 1.2 ml OraSeal Putty syringes
- 4 × Black Mini Tips (fine orifice)
- 20 × White Mac Tips for thicker application
Indications
- Repair rubber dam leaks—especially in compromised teeth or around FPD connectors
- Seal exposed margins during porcelain etching to protect gingiva
- Block out implant bars, precision attachments, or embrasures to facilitate clean impression removal
- Prevent saliva ingress in orthodontic bracket bonding
Caulking is best for sealing; Putty is recommended when bulk block‑out and stability under impression or attachment removal is required.
Instructions for Use
- Remove Luer‑lock cap and attach tip (White Mac or Black Mini); hold plunger palm–down for smooth dispensing.
- Express a bead of Caulking around the gingival margin (or under connector) then position rubber dam over it, ensuring seal; mould excess with a wet finger or wet instrument.
- Use Putty material to fill spaces such as under implant bars or embrasures before temporary cement or impressions.
- Following procedure, scrape off bulk material; do not attempt to suction large volumes; rinse and air/water spray followed by rinsing with brush or wet gauze.
- For bonding cases, clean thoroughly before proceeding—especially when strong acids or peroxide were used.
- Dispose of tips and coverings according to protocol; disinfect syringes between patients.
