LC Block-Out Single Syringe 1.2ml

Clinical Overview
LC Block‑Out Resin is a blue‑pigmented, light‑cured methacrylate utility resin used outside the mouth to create thickness reservoirs in laboratory or tray fabrication procedures. It is ideal for establishing space in custom bleaching trays and for localized repairs or void‑filling on dental models. Not intended for intraoral use.
Key Benefits
- Low-viscosity flow: Precise placement without slumping or migration on stone models.
- Blue pigment: Enhances visibility during application and facilitates accurate trimming.
- Controlled light cure: No‑mix format enables predictable, immediate setting.
- Versatile utility: Creates bleaching tray reservoirs; repairs small model voids or undercuts.
- Syringe delivery: Smooth, syringe dispensing with Black Mini™ tip compatibility ensures controlled application.
Kit Contents
- 1 × 1.2 mL syringe of LC Block‑Out Resin (≈1.38 g resin)
- Black Mini™ application tip (not necessarily included with every single refill; check kit packaging)
- Instructions for laboratory use on models or tray fabrication
Usage Instructions & Setting
- Application technique: Apply ~0.5 mm resin thickness over labial surfaces on model, staying ~1.5 mm from gingival margin. Avoid incisal/occlusal extension.
- Light curing: Cure each tooth for ~5 seconds using high‑quality LED light (e.g. VALO™); wipe away oxygen‑inhibition layer.
- Tray fabrication: Overlay vacuum‑formed tray material on resin‑blocked model; trim and scallop edges; flame polish if necessary.
- Model repair: Dispense resin into small voids or undercuts on model; light cure as directed.
Indications
- Creation of reservoir spaces (~0.5 mm thickness) in custom bleaching or tray appliances
- Blocking out undercuts or voids in dental stone models during tray or aligner fabrication
- Localized repair of surface imperfections or expected tray interference points on lab models
- Utility resin for laboratory applications—not intended for intraoral use
Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Prepare the stone or study model; make sure it's clean and dry.
- Attach a Black Mini™ tip to the syringe and dispense resin where reservoir or repair is needed.
- Light‑cure each zone (~5 sec per tooth surface) with a high‑output LED curing unit.
- Remove surface inhibition layer with a clean brush or gauze.
- For tray fabrication, thermoform tray material over the treated model, trim and scallop as standard.
- For model repair, cure thoroughly and then finish or polish as needed.
