• 16G: Grey, length 45 mm, outer diameter 1.8 mm, indicated flow rate 180 mL/min.
• 18G: Green, length 32 mm, outer diameter 1.3 mm, indicated flow rate 90 mL/min.
• 20G: Pink, length 32 mm, outer diameter 1.1 mm, indicated flow rate 60 mL/min.

Selection guidance

Gauge sizes differ in outer diameter, length, and achievable flow rate. Smaller gauge numbers indicate larger diameters. Selection should be based on the procedure, patient condition, vein size, and required flow rate, and carried out by qualified personnel in line with approved clinical protocols.
