Chlor X, 2% Chlorhexidine Solution, 100ml

Clinical Overview

Chlor X by Prevest DenPro is a 2% chlorhexidine digluconate water-alcoholic solution for irrigating and cleaning root canals. It is recommended as the final endodontic rinse before canal obturation and before pulp capping. Supplied in a 100ml bottle with dispensing dropper.

Indications

• Root canal disinfection

• Final endodontic rinse prior to canal obturation

• Cleansing prior to pulp capping

Directions

After root canal preparation, fill a syringe with Chlor X, attach a safe-ended irrigation needle and irrigate the canal.

Precautions

• Do not mix with sodium hypochlorite: the combination forms a brown precipitate. Rinse the canal thoroughly between the two irrigants.

• Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine.

Storage

Store between 10°C and 24°C. Shelf life 3 years from the date of manufacture.
