The AMOUL i3 Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a semi-automatic external defibrillator designed for response to sudden cardiac arrest. It analyzes cardiac rhythm and, when indicated, delivers a defibrillation shock. The device is portable and lightweight, with clear voice prompts and visual indicators to guide operation.
The AMOUL i3 uses a Biphasic Truncated Exponential waveform with impedance compensation. It evaluates the patient’s rhythm to determine if a shock is appropriate and provides step-by-step audio and visual guidance during use.
The device supports both adults and children when used with the appropriate pads and settings. Nominal energy levels are 200 J for adults and 50 J for children. Always select electrodes suitable for the patient’s age and weight and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and device manual.
Powered by a lithium manganese dioxide (LiMnO₂) battery. Available specifications indicate up to 5 years of shelf life or 200 discharges, depending on configuration. Some specifications also note operation for several hours under defined conditions. Check battery expiry regularly and replace according to the manufacturer’s guidance.
The device records ECG, event logs, and self-test results. Available specifications indicate capacity to store up to 24 hours of ECG data, with data transfer supported through compatible data management systems.
AEDs can be included in emergency response plans where sudden cardiac arrest may occur. Examples include hospitals, medical centers, clinics, ambulance and emergency services, sports facilities and clubs, schools and universities (subject to regulations), factories and industrial sites, offices and companies, airports and public venues, shopping centers, hotels, and other high-traffic facilities. Installation locations, training, and maintenance programs should follow local requirements.
The AMOUL i3 AED is a portable device for emergency response with rhythm analysis and guided use. Advanced defibrillators used in hospitals may integrate additional monitoring such as ECG, SpO₂, and blood pressure. Select equipment according to the intended environment and clinical needs.
Contents vary by configuration. Available specifications for some AMOUL i3 packages include:
Confirm actual package contents, particularly pediatric pads and any optional accessories.
Use the device in line with the manufacturer’s manual, appropriate training, and approved emergency protocols. Use only accessories and electrodes approved for the device.
